Professor Dr. G. Hussein Rassool

Professor Dr. G. Hussein Rassool is Professor of Islamic Psychology and  Consultant for Riphah Institute of Clinical and Professional Psychology/Centre for Islamic Psychology, Riphah International University, Pakistan. He is also Director of Studies for the Department of Islamic Psychology, Psychotherapy and Counselling, Al Balagh Academy. In addition, he is the Chair of Al-Balkhi Research Institute (UK). He was previously the Director of the Riphah Institute of Clinical and Professional Psychology/Centre for Islamic Psychology, Riphah International University. He also formerly worked for International Open University (Islamic Online University) as he first of Head of Department of Psychology and later became the Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

He is one of the leading academics in the areas of Islamic Psychology and psychotherapy and involved in the development of the first BSc Islamic Psychology at IOU. He also developed a first, University accredited Certificate course in Islamic Psychology in Pakistan. He is a Fellow of the International Association of Islamic Psychology (FIAIP) and the Royal Society of Public Health (FRSPH). He is also a member of the International Association of Muslim Psychologists and other professional associations. He works as a part-time Islamic psychotherapist.

Professor Dr. G.Hussein Rassool has worked a consultant in many countries in the world including Brazil, Mauritius, Hong Kong, Malta, UK and Pakistan, advising Governmental  Departments, academic institutions and voluntary sector organisations. He still consultants for the Centre for Islamic Psychology, Riphah International University (Pakistan), The Al-Balagh Academy (UK), Islamic Family Institute (Sweden) and Max Strategies (Pakistan).

His research interests include psychosocial and spiritual problems in relation to mental health, psychosocial and spiritual interventions, indigenous psychology, Islamic counselling and psychotherapy, Islamic ethics in psychology. He has published over 120 papers and reviews in peer-reviewed journals and has authored and published numerous books.

Professor Abdur Rasjid Skinner

Professor Abdur Rasjid Skinner is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Jungian Psychotherapist with over 40 year’s experience of dealing with a variety of psychological problems. He is a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. He has worked with others over many years developing the clinical application of an Islamic understanding of the Self. He is a Visiting Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Karachi. He teaches at the Cambridge Muslim College and is a visiting lecturer on the Clinical Psychology course at The University of Sheffield. He has presented at numerous conferences nationally and internationally on Islamic Psychology and has published many papers on Islamic Psychology and Psychotherapy.




Saeed Nasser

Saeed Nasser is a qualified integrative counsellor and a clinical supervisor based in the United Kingdom with proven experience supporting clients and supervisees in a variety of settings. He is committed to delivering client-centered counselling and supervision that supports the empowerment of individuals, couples and families to enable them to grow, make informed choices and fulfill their potential. His areas of expertise are person centered therapy, couple counselling, bereavement counselling and promoting a faith based and culturally sensitive approach to counselling and supervision. He is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a fellow member of the International Association for Islamic Psychology (IAIP). He also delivers lectures on IAIP courses on Islamic ethics. Saeed has also trained with IAIP in Islamic counselling and psychotherapy, he is also an Arabic interpreter and translator. He has studied Arabic and Islamic studies and works as a volunteer imam in his local masjid leading prayers and delivering Friday Khutbah’s as well as lectures and parenting classes.
Seyed Jamaluddin Behrang Miri

Licensed counsellor from Malmö (Sweden). 
Currently studying the MSc programme in Clinical Psychology at Lunds University (Sweden) and the Islamic Psychology Diploma programme at CMC - Cambridge Muslim College (UK).
